NK Cell Therapy (natural killer cells)

NK Cells (Natural Killer Cells),

NK cells are white blood cells in the body's immune system, they are like an army that protects and eradicates foreign substances, viruses, parasites, and cancerous cells threatening our body. NK cells are called “natural” killers because they can destroy potential threats without prior exposure to a particular pathogen. Other lymphocytes that destroy harmful cells, like cytotoxic T-cells, need previous exposure to a pathogen before they can destroy it.

NK cells automatically function without waiting for immunity stimulation, so the very ability of NK cells to destroy cancerous cells is up to 100 times higher than other white blood cells. NK cells belong to a specific group of white blood cells called lymphocytes, which also includes B-cells and T-cells.

The function of NK cell

It is primarily to limit cancerous and viral cells. It has a unique mechanism for differentiating white blood cells called Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) and does not require any immune stimulation from other immune cells.

The importance of the immune system

When the immune system works well, it is like having a peerless group of fighters ready to protect the body from the invasion of various kinds of pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, and others that vary in size; small germs like viruses, hence the body does not use much immunity it can effortlessly overcome, however, if it is larger pathogens (like a tumor), It is inevitably obligated to use strong and large amounts of immune cells to fight. And if the level of immunity in the body is strong, both in quantity and quality, the attack of infection, cancer, and other diseases will be defeated, and the body will recover and regain its strength.

What will happen if we have less amount of NK cells?

People with low NK cells or NK Activity tend to get sick more easily than normal because they do not have a lot of natural killer cells or with the cells but are less effective and not enough to catch and prevent pathogens. Therefore, it is much easier to get infected with both acute and chronic viral diseases such as herpes, herpes zoster, influenza, and so on, besides, people with low NK cells are at risk of developing cancerous cells.

Causes of weakening the body's NK cells.

In addition to aging, the NK cell's performance is reduced. Other significant factors that can cause or worsen NK cells or damage the immune system as seen at a young age are the following:-

  • not getting enough rest, irregular sleeping time, or less than 8 hours a day.
  • high-level anxiety, chronic stress, and all lead to immune deficiency.
  • consuming useless foods such as high fat, high sugar, or consuming less than five groups of food nutrients.
  • not exercising, as exercise has the advantage of stimulating the immune system.
  • immunodeficiency disease, various types of diseases.

Who should have NK Cells immunity measured?

  • healthy people who want to monitor their own unspecific immunity function.
  • people with frequent infections.
  • people exposed to long-term hormones or environmental pollution.
  • people with chronic fatigue.
  • people with a history of chain-smoking.
  • people with a family history of cancer

Boost your immunity with NK Cell Therapy

For those with lower-than-normal levels of NK Cell Activity (100-250) and the low-level NK cells may be caused by health conditions or early signs of diseases, therefore, improving and enhancing the immune system are recommended. Even if there are indications of normal NK Cell Activity (250-500) performance, however, you should not hesitate to maintain this fair condition. The specialist will diagnose this NK cell level, along with the overall health check-up to suggest alternative methods of increasing immunity.
